Keith, you asked for feedback. Yes, keep making vids like this one. While some of what you show us may not apply to each of us, that's OK. It's nice to have the knowledge, as well as the reinforcement of certain skills, mindset, etc. E.g., I just obtained another tool for my toolkit, as it fits the space b/w two other tools. The problem then becomes using each enough and cleaning them!!!! Thanks for everything.

By the way, “tool” is a euphemism

I second the civilian marksmanship class. Would be great to know what you do and use.

Civilian marksmanship training would be much appreciated.

I appreciate videos like this one even though at my age (73) I doubt I would ever own a rifle set up like yours. Rifle marksmanship is an area of weakness for me outside of my hunting rifles.

Love it. I actually had the exact same idea. I wanted some sort of small squad weapon for suppressive fire. I put a Texas Trigger in it just as instructed and it is having major problems. I had a local gun shop look at it he was not able to get it to run FRT. I emailed Texas Trigger since I am only 30 minutes from them. They responded via email. Below is the response. I expect better.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our installation services for the AK platform.

Due to high demand and upcoming product launches, we are not accepting new installation requests at this time.

In the meantime, we highly recommend our partners, Arms of America or Iron Curtain Customs. Both shops are fully trained in our installations, provide excellent customer service, and offer quick turnaround times. You may ship your rifle to them directly or inquire about drop off; please contact them for pricing and specific operational details.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your continued support.

Best regards,

Just wanted to follow up on this for anyone looking to set up a AK with an FRT. I had my local gun shop gunsmith work on my AK with the Texas Trigger again after the email response I got from them that I posted above. The gunsmith has built several AK FRT setups. He was not able to get the Texas Trigger working. I ended up taking the Texas Trigger out and put a Redacted Arms AK super safety in it. With 10 minutes we had it running correctly. I spent $350 for the Texas Diablo Trigger, transfer bar, fire control group and recoil buffer. It is all wasted money. I would not recommend anyone purchase anything from Texas Trigger.

Knights Armament…. You don’t play fair brother!! 😗. I have my fair share of good quality guns to take care of business. But no Knights Arm. 😐

The 7.62x39 cartridges ballistics are very very close to the .30-30 Winchester, which is no slouch.

Thank you so much! A school would be great. Feeling like a “Johnny Come Lately” in this. Don’t know where to start. I’m about 5’6, 160lbs, 55 and some shoulder and knee injuries. Would you please advise me on what you would recommend me to try out? Thank you! God bless you!

I would also like the civilian marksmanship class. Vey few classes don't have something in them that will benefit another gun topic.

I pray Florida will change its stance on the laws in place for guns. the bump stock is banned, but folks are scared it covers FRTs also.

I got my fair share of auto machine guns in the Army.
