Great post. I think it is the question we have all been asking. I remember being in supply (quartermaster) and seeing stacks of expired vests that were not being issued to patrol civilians but being sold to Central America.

Keith, thanks for the extensive work testing your old vest. I'm starting to wear body armor at church. Be blessed....ABC

I'm glad you finally published this! I love seeing the many layers of the old stuff, and comparison to the newest stuff.

Where is the affiliate link for Premiere body armor? And is it only good for the shirt, or can I also use the link for the insert for my Eberlestock Fade backpack?

The link is in the description about halfway down. Thank you for using the affiliate link! It helps us out once you get that affiliate link you can get whatever you want there and it will still apply. It’s also on this article here right here. You’ll see the picture of me wearing the body armor and you can click.

I also have Premier body armor (IIA). Now that it's "broke in", I'm quite pleased. As for Bob...he's a big dummy for hanging around with you...lol

I recently purchased the Premiere body armor at Keith's recommendation. I've only worn it twice so far but it is far more comfortable and concealable than my old S.O. vest. While it's nice to know the old gear is still usable I know I'm more protected with the new stuff.

I think if I ever needed to engage zombies I'd choose to wear both sets if I'll be stationary - not sure how far I could run with that old vest!

I also invested in some POCLink radios for my family's PACE comms needs. Having kids and siblings in two States requires more comms planning than just cell phones.

CWT/CWP offers some good info to start your own homework for future needs. Thanks Keith! And ABC.
